HAWAIIAN CULTURAL ROLE MODEL EXTRAORDINAIRE TO BE FEATURED ON VOICES OF TRUTH THIS WEEK

A special aloha to our Voices of Truth - One-on-One With Hawai'i's Future viewers in Saipan, Aotearoa (New Zealand,) the United Kingdom, Nevada and Massachusetts. Mahalo for your feedback. We're glad you enjoy the show .

For our international viewers, segments of Voices of Truth can now be viewed worldwide 24/7 on the internet at
www.villageaccess.com.

"Travels To Foreign Lands, Who Are The Real Hawaiians?, From Fisherman To Activist" and "Preserving Makahiki - A Time Of Peace" are listed on the Village Access home page for immediate viewing.

Due to popular demand, "Travels To Foreign Lands" will air again tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 22nd for viewers on Maui and Moloka'i on Akaku, Visions - Channel 53 at 6:30 PM.

We recount the participation and contributions of Hawaiians at the Third Annual Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues at the United Nations as well as the substance of our, until now, closed door meetings on Capitol Hill this last May. If you missed it last week here's a chance to catch this timely segment again.

Voices of Truth airs twice this week on 'Olelo on O'ahu -

Saturday, Sept 25th at 8 PM & Sunday, Sept 26th at 9 AM - "Giving Back - A Visit With Sabra Kauka." Sabra, a Kaua'i-based community developer, cultural and environmental practitioner of traditional art forms and educator extraordinaire, is a very special Kanaka Hawai'i Maoli wahine who shares with us her tapa making and basket weaving skills. Sabra is not only a wonderful role model, but a true inspiration to us all. We are fortunate to have her on the show and it's a segment not to be missed.

Voices of Truth interviews activists in the Hawaiian Independence movement to discover what made them go from armchair observers to active participants in the hopes of inspiring viewers to do the same.

Those not in Hawai'i wishing to view the series may do so by visiting
www.olelo.org and then clicking "NATV-Channel 53.” A screen should then display allowing you to see the show via live streaming.
