WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd -
"Giving Back - A Visit With Sabra Kauka ." One of our most popular segments features Sabra Kauka of Kaua'i island. Sabra's an extraordinary Native Hawaiian activist and cultural practitioner who is on the forefront in many different ways; basket weaving, tapa making and cultural preservation. If you haven't seen her, here's your chance on Maui and Moloka'i, on Akaku, Visions - Channel 53, this Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4th -
"Anthropology And Hawaiian Activism - A Visit With Professor Steven Boggs, PhD" will air on Ho'ike - Channel 52 at 8:30 PM for our Kaua'i viewers. UH Professor Boggs explains how his journey through the world of academia led him, as a non-Hawaiian, to support the cause of Independence. A fascinating interview!
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5th -
" Voices of Truth" airs on Na Leo Television, channel 54, on both sides of Hawai'i island this Friday evening, October 29th, at 5:30 PM , again on Saturday at 7:00 PM on the Kona side only.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6th -
"From Hawai'i To Russia And Back - A Visit With Kimo Perry" airs on 'Oleo Television this Saturday evening on O'ahu. Kimo , an expatriate and repatriate, is a young multi-cultural makua, and a Native Hawaiian Education Island Council facilitator . Hear him tell what it was like to be a Hawaiian in Russia and how he not only found love, but also support amongst the Russians for Hawaiian Independence!
"Voices of Truth" interviews activists in the Hawaiian Independence movement to discover what made them go from armchair observers to active participants in the hopes of inspiring viewers to do the same.
