LAW PROFESSOR ADVISES HAWAIIANS AGAINST FEDERAL RECOGNITION

KAHULUI - The Akaka Bill is a trick to swindle Native Hawaiians out of any recourse to international support, University of Illinois professor Francis Boyle told a crowd of about 50 Mauians Wednesday night.
"The Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) must build and restore the Kingdom of Hawaii from the ground up," Boyle said.
"They're trying to reduce and eliminate all your claims under international law."
