THE BENEFITS OF FEDERAL RECOGNITION - PART TWO

FEDERAL JUDGE ORDERS NORTON TO APPEAR

WASHINGTON - (AP) A federal judge has given Interior Secretary Gale Norton an ultimatum - Either appear in his court or face the prospect that he will rule against her on accusations that she retaliated against American Indians suing her agency for lost royalties.

The U. S. government has yet to account for mismanaged oil, gas, timber and grazing royalties from Indian-owned land.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD HAWAIIANS WANT TO GET INTO THIS MESS CALLED FEDERAL RECOGNITION ?
