AKAKA BILL IS DECEITFUL
A Letter To The Honolulu Star-Bulletin

Wedesday October 12, 2005

Many Hawaiians will learn too late that they got duped through the Akaka Bill.

They must be ignorant with the US policy and the problems the Native Americans constantly face.

Like Bush, the Pro-Akaka snollygosters have been deceiving them. The biggest affront is that the Hawai`i nationals are being snubbed and who have a rightful vested interest in this issue.

Descendants of the Hawaiian Kingdom have been gregiously injured through the US unlawful actions. Of the bona fide Hawai`i Nationals, 84.4% were kanaka maoli [Native Hawaiian] and 15.6 % were of foreign origin as of the 1890 census.

These descendants are still Hawai`i Nationals and only they decide their fate which their ancestors already decided in the 1897 Ku'e [protest] Petitions.

The US has purposely ignored the descendants of the 15.6% Hawai`i Nationals in creating a tribe not of their making and eliminating a portion of the Hawaiian Kingdom Nationals.

If the Bill passes, it will also disenfranchise most of the part-Hawaiians that are less than 50%. Through the Bill, they will be giving the US clear title of all the land in Hawai`i for a pittance and be subject to the state and federal government powers.

Those that aren't included, should file a suit against the US that the US is forming a government to steal a nation without considering the rest of the Hawai`i nationals of non-Hawaiian blood.
