HERE'S SOME COMMON SENSE POLICIES KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS SHOULD IMPLEMENT -

1. Open the qualifications to bona fide descendants of the Kingdom of Hawai`i regardless of ethnicity.

2. Non-Kanaka Maoli [Native Hawaiian] should be assessed full tuition comparable to the `Iolani and Punahou schools. Kanaka Maoli children would receive full scholarships.

3. Criteria for admission should give preference to low-income, broken homes, orphaned, and dysfunctional families or individuals, and those with a history of low performance in schools.

4. Outreach programs and satellite classes should extend to all qualified students that have not been admitted to the schools.

5. A stipend should be given to Immersion Schools and Charter Schools to insure its survival. Lands with or without buildings should be given to them to used to function as a school.

6. Referrals to Immersion and Charter Schools should be given to those that failed to be admitted to the Kamehameha Schools.

Kamehameha Schools mission should be to help all Hawai`i Nationals and improve their conditions.
