Imaikalani Kalahele is actually a person of four separate talents - poet, artist, political activist and playwright, that he expresses in very unique and interesting ways.
And as Kanaka Maoli, he shares with us his unique viewpoint that leads to such wonderful and amazing works of art.

One of our second season new segments that has received very positive reviews, we feature one of Hawai`i's long time sovereignty fighters, and founder of both Pu`uhonua O Waimanalo and Nation of Hawai`i.
Because he shares with us an aspect of himself that not everyone sees, and what got him involved in creating a better future for the people of Hawai`i, viewers have remarked about powerful, inspiring aspects of Bumpy they never knew.
We promise you'll want more as Bumpy tells how his years growing up actually helped to mold him as a leader today who is both strong and wise.
Filmed on location at Pu`uhonua O Waimanalo, Bumpy is 100% inspiration in a setting of stunning beauty and also an example of what all Hawai`i could be.

"Poetry In Motion - A Visit With Imaikalani Kalahele."
Another of our brand new segments, Imaikalani, both political activist and artist has fused both talents to create unique and beautiful works of art that deeply express his heritage as Native Hawaiian.
And as if that isn't enough, he's also a published poet and playwright.
Imaikalani graciously shares with us an inside and personal look at some of his artwork and exactly what went into the crafting of each piece which even includes a stunning mural depicting an oli that was done entirely in felt markers!
If you have a budding artists in your family, sit down with them and watch this one. Yet all of us, artists or not, will gain much insight and inspiration from this very gifted creator with his wonderful message for us all.

"Kupuna Islands - A Visit With Sabra Kauka."
In a very unique and already popular new second season segment, Kaua'i resident Sabra Kauka takes us along on the 2005 Educators Expedition to the Kupuna (Ancestor) Islands, also known as the Northwest Hawaiian Islands.
A Hawaiian cultural practitioner and educator, Sabra was one of only ten Hawai`i educators selected for this “first-of it's-kind opportunity, where the environment of the Kupuna Islands is very beautiful, but also very fragile.
Sabra reports, "It's our kuleana (responsibility) to protect this environment because it's the nursery for the younger, inhabited Hawaiian Islands. We Kanaka Maoli [Native Hawaiian] are spiritually, genealogically, and culturally linked to these Kupuna.”
Well, naturally, we had to sit down with her and get the whole story in amazing and beautiful pictures and words. Don't miss this incredible opportunity as she shares highlights and photos on this spiritual and very special voyage.

SATURDAY, November 12th - On 'Olelo this Saturday at 8 PM
"Hawaiian Superman - A Visit With Dr. Kanalu Young, PhD."
Rarely do we come across an individual as remarkable as Kanalu Young, a quadriplegic and Professor of Hawaiian history at the University of Hawai`i on O`ahu.
If that isn't impressive enough, he's also Director of the Masters Program at Kamakakuokalani, the Center For Hawaiian Studies on campus.
Even though he's currently bed ridden at home under doctor's orders, Kanalu accomplishes more in one day than most. Setting up his bedroom as his office, the world now comes to Kanalu - literally.
He meets on almost a daily basis with dignitaries and educators from all over the world as well as conducting his work for the university - all from his bed.
Of course we went calling on Kanalu, in his office/bedroom, and found an amazing individual indeed who lets absolutely nothing stop him
So if you're looking for a big dose of high inspiration and want to meet a world-class expert at showing us all how to become unstoppable as well as putting our own challenges in perspective, sit down with your entire family and meet Hawai`i's Superman.
