"Poetry In Motion - A Visit With Imaikalani Kalahele."
Another of our new segments, Imaikalani, both political activist and artist has fused both talents to create unique and beautiful works of art that deeply express his heritage as Kanaka Maoli.
And as if that isn't enough, he's also a published poet and playwright.
Imaikalani graciously shares with us an inside and personal look at some of his artwork and exactly what went into the crafting of each piece which even includes a stunning mural depicting an oli (chant) that was done entirely in felt markers!
If you have a budding artists in your family, sit down with them and watch this one.
Yet all of us, artists or not, will gain much insight and inspiration from this very gifted creator with his wonderful message for us all.
Voices of Truth interviews those creating a better future for Hawai`i to discover what made them go from armchair observers to active participants in the hopes of inspiring viewers to do the same.
