HAWAIIAN NATION - DEAD OR ALIVE? ON VOICES OF TRUTH - ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I'S FUTURE
“If the Kingdom of Hawai`i still exists, where is it? Why can’t you be happy as part of the U.S.?”
Questions we’ve all heard before. Fortunately, there are good answers to both.
Each January descendants of the Kingdom, both Native and non-Native as well as their supporters come together at `Iolani Palace to mark the illegal overthrow and subsequent continuing occupation by the U.S. in what is still an independent Hawaiian Nation.
We visited with these Hawai`i nationals at the Palace who not only have their link to the past but both eyes locked on the future.
What they said and how they said it reminded us once again that we were indeed, in the midst of the Nation itself at that moment.
Their words were moving, their mana`o (ideas) strong as they left no doubt they are the faces of the Hawaiian Nation we bring to you this week on Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

“Faces Of The Nation – Voices Of Truth Live At `Iolani Palace – Part One”
"What will a Free Hawai`i look like?" is a question we hear a lot.
We found the answer at `Iolani Palace grounds in January when Native Hawaiians and their supporters gathered to spend the weekend showing everyone the Hawaiian Nation is still alive.
Voicing outrage at the continuing illegal occupation of Hawai`i by the U.S., the people there were nevertheless upbeat and optimistic.
We discovered specialists in every field of endeavor - people who will ably fill the needs of the Nation, who know our history and understand a Free Hawai`i benefits everyone.
And every single one of them we interviewed is actively engaged in creating a better future for Hawai`i and its people.
So be sure and gather your entire `ohana (family) and see for yourself the Hawai`i they describe - it's both amazing and exciting. Their message of hope and vision for the future is one you won't soon forget.
