THE FRAUD OF FEDERAL RECOGNITION ON VOICES OF TRUTH - ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I'S FUTURE
This last week it was announced the Akaka bill, federal US legislation that would legitimize Hawai`i’s illegal overthrow and turn native Hawaiians into American Indians placing them on reservations, will be discussed at a Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearing May 3rd in Washington DC.
The Akaka bill is pure perversion of the people’s will since poll after poll in Hawai`i has shown overwhelming public opposition.
It’s telling the hearings are in Washington, DC rather that at home.
The only time a hearing was held in Hawai`i on federal recognition was over seven years ago and so many people turned out to voice their opposition, they were forced to discontinue hearings.
Currently, the Koani Foundation is focusing on why this legislation would be such a disaster for the people of Hawai`i in our weekly video commentaries on www.FreeHawaiiTV.com a part of the Free Hawai`i Broadcasting Network.
This last week, we covered why virtually no one in Hawai`i has seen the latest version of the bill and the danger of buying it sight unseen.
This coming Wednesday, you’ll learn the three important things the Akaka bill does not contain as well as the one deadly thing it does.
Then over the following two weeks, we’ll cover why the US is trying so hard to get you to believe it’s no longer possible to have a Free Hawai`i and we’ll reveal some of the individuals who are behind this.
It’s both surprising and shocking news you’ll want to know and it’s on www.FreeHawaiiTV.com
We bring you the important issues each week as well as people with the facts behind them so you can decide for yourself - whether on Free Hawai`i TV or right here on Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

“A Journey Of Occupation – A Visit With Andre Perez”
What would it be like to be in the US military for eight years, then find yourself living on the streets?
That’s what happened to Andre Perez who went from one extreme to another.
And from the streets, he found his way into the Kaho`olawe occupation, which, by his own accounts, was a life-changing experience.
It had to be because Andre’s never at a loss for words when it comes to defending his people that led him to the next chapter of his life.
Currently the spokesperson for Hui Pu, as well as a Halau Lokahi teacher, Andre recently found himself in the middle of yet another occupation – the dramatic taking of `Iolani Palace by Hui Pu to publicly oppose the Akaka bill.
As we look to the future of Hawai`i, we’re sure you’ll agree with us that Andre and others like him will play a prominent role in it.
Don’t miss our visit with Andre who’s part of the new generation of warriors who are as fearless as they are articulate. You’ll see why he’s a role model for the `opio (youth) of today as well as a leader for tomorrow.

And even though she has aloha for everyone, don’t take her for granted. She’s quick to remind us all that aloha is a two way street.
