WHAT DO HAWAIIANS REALLY THINK OF THE AKAKA BILL?
Here's What They Say Of The Attempt To Classify Hawaiians As American Indians
"We will fight the Akaka Bill every inch of the way.
The attempt to usurp the jurisdiction and authority of the Hawaiian Kingdom by creating a US governing entity is repugnant and constitutes a grevious conflict of interest.
The wording of the Bill is designed to obfuscate the facts, the reality of our inherent rights which we have not surrendered to the USA, and enforce compliance to the whims of the USA, its corporations, and its military.
All these violate the laws of occupation and an affront to our neutrality, friendship, and respective treaties....
It is through the US State Department and not through the Department of Interior that these actions should be resolved.
Until then, the US must protect the Hawai`i Nationals' rights and welfare under the laws of occupation which they have been derelict in performing.
Avoiding the issue does not make it go away or dissappear. Sooner or later, the USA must address this illegal and criminal incursion.
We love our country as much as the US Americans love theirs.
Would one expect any less?"
