SUPERFERRY OPPONENTS TO FILE APPEAL

KAHULUI, Hawai`i (AP) - Protesters of the Hawai`i Superferry are moving their fight from the waters to the courtroom.


Irene Bowie, executive director of Maui Tomorrow, says the community group will challenge a new law that has allowed the ferry to resume operations while an environmental impact study is conducted.


The group will make an appeal to the Hawai`i Supreme Court, which previously ruled than an environmental assessment should be completed before the Superferry uses state harbors....
