FORCED ABDICATION OF HAWAI`I'S QUEEN OBSERVED TODAY AT ROYAL PALACE

Hawai`i Acquired By US Through Force

Queen Liliu`okalani,
Hawai`i's last monarch, was deposed on January 17,1893 by American businessmen, the US Navy, Marine Corps and diplomatic representatives.

We will not let this day slip into the shadows of history.

Join fellow
Kanaka Maoli (native Hawaiian) in the ongoing struggle and awareness of Truth, Justice and the Hawaiian Way as we observe the illegal and forced abdication of our beloved Queen today from 3 - 7 PM at `Iolani palace in Honolulu.

We welcome and invite all students, teachers and `ohana of Hawai`i's Charter and Hawaiian Immersion Schools to participate with song and dance and a chance to share their mana`o about what it means to be Hawaiian.

There will be guest speakers, entertainment and plenty of food.

Events ongoing at `Iolani Palace grounds through this Sunday.

The public is invited to this free event.
