The Hawaii County prosecutor’s office will be dismissing some of the cases against protesters arrested on Mauna Kea.
The decision comes after Circuit Court Judge Ronald Ibarra invalidated emergency rules set up by the state prohibiting people from being on the mountain overnight.
Twenty cases will be thrown out.
Cases unrelated to the judge’s ruling will continue.
