ALERT! - OHA PLANS FUNDS DIVERSION TO LINDSEY RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN
Please forward this to all Hawaiians and our supporters.
We want to make you aware of a highly unethical and potentially illegal matter regarding the upcoming election of trustees at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
Highly reliable sources have informed us that there are plans to secretly divert OHA funds and use them for the re-election campaign of OHA chair Robert Lindsey.
According to these sources, because trustee Lindseyʻs own campaign funds are reportedly nonexistent, the administration at OHA has agreed to quietly fund Robert Lindseyʻs re-election campaign in the amount of $25,000.
The $25,000 is to be paid out of OHAʻs “outreach funds.”
This funding will allow Robert Lindsey to purchase media ads and other activities in hopes of being re-elected.
Since campaign reports are not due to be made public in Hawai`i until the end of November, this information would not otherwise be known by voters and the public until after the election.
We urge you to contact Robert Lindsey and Kamana`o Crabbe at OHA today and express your outrage at their planned underhanded actions.
It is imperative that you and every one you know call and email them today and demand that OHA outreach funds not be diverted to fund Robert Lindseyʻs re-election campaign.
