WHY THIS CELEBRATION?
To Make Our Country Visible!
The biggest problem we face is that most people don’t even know the Hawaiian Kingdom exists! To them, we’re invisible!
Invisibility is a problem. If people canʻt “see” our nation, OR… If they think this is old history... something of the past, and not here and now, they wonʻt support or even care about freeing our nation!
How do we overcome this ‘invisibility’ problem?
• By having a deliberate, joyful, enthusiastic, high-profile CELEBRATION portraying the Hawaiian Kingdom as a living nation!
• By putting it out there and inviting everyone, near and far, to join in the CELEBRATION in whatever way they want!
To Build Up Confidence!
Many who think Hawaii should be independent, don’t think it can really happen. Then there are those that think, even if we are independent, we are not capable of governing ourselves.
• The CELEBRATION of the Hawaiian Kingdom as a living nation will help to build a sense of identity as lāhui and bolster confidence among the people.
• Taking the CELEBRATION global, allows others to “see” our nation and realize that this is the real thing! We really are serious!
• The CELEBRATION will stimulate discussion and bring forward a vision and roadmap for the future of Hawaii raising the potential for realizing independence.
Other Factors:
Even if people know we exist, they may not know there is actually the political will to free Hawaii from the US.
This CELEBRATION will give us an opportunity to bring greater awareness to the movement to Free Hawaii. And a great platform to clearly show our political will for a Free Hawaii.
Is there a plan in place to make an orderly transition?
Given the right circumstances , the U.S. will pull out ... This CELEBRATION will give us, as lāhui, the opportunity to openly discuss and work out a road map for restoring our nation, incorporating cooperation from the U.S. and support and participation from our friends all over the world.

The more we stand as a nation; the more we assert the Hawaiian Kingdom is alive and kicking; the more we expose U.S. claims as false; the sooner we will be a Free Hawaii.-
