IS ARRESTING HAWAI`IʻS ELDERS ALOHA `AINA?

"How would they feel? Would they smile, be content or just cry?"
Today our kūpuna (elders) are on trial at the Hilo courthouse for protecting Maunakea from the University's disastrous TMT project.
Simultaneously and ironically, the University of Hawai‘i is attempting to co-opt "Aloha ʻĀina" as part of their university identity branding.
UH wants to hijack Aloha ʻĀina as their branding and limit its meaning to sustainability to suit their agenda.
What is that agenda? What do you think about this?
Do you think the university should be co-opting Aloha ʻĀina as their branding while simultaneously arresting kūpuna who are protecting our sacred mauna from the university's destructive TMT development?
Remember these kūpuna who are in court today, these are the real Aloha ʻĀina: Nohea Kalama Chun, Sharol Awai, Roberta Bennet, Onaona Trask, Mililani Trask, Noe Noe Wong-Wilson, along with many other kūpuna who's still have court dates.
Ua mau ke ea o ka ʻāina i ka pono.
