THEY GOT THEIR LAND BACK
The Pale and Pupuhi family in Puko`o, Molokai can finally and proudly fly their landback flag on the Kuleana property that was legally transferred back to them last month.
The land was in the family since time immemorial until an Alaskan businessman brought an interest and tried to claim the whole parcel.
The Pupuhi and Pale `ohana beat their trespassing and quiet title case brought against them by a settler.
After four years of struggle the land is solely under the family’s name.
