LISTENING TO THE STONES ON “VOICES OF TRUTH - ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`IʻS FUTURE"
"Stones That Speak - A Visit With Keahi Pi`i`ohi`a"
If someone told you stones can speak youʻd might say they have rocks in their head. We spent an afternoon with Hawaiian rock wall masonry expert Keahi Pi`i`ohi`a who showed us that pōhaku, the Hawaiian word for lava stone or rock, not only speak but actually have distinct personalities. Keahi showed us the ancient Hawaiian art of building walls without mortar by allowing each pōhaku to say where it wants to go in a wall. Sound crazy? Join us in our visit with Keahi Pi`i`ohi`a as he shows us why stones are not inanimate objects at all but instead can smile, speak & might even be a long lost relative - Watch It Here
