The April 2026 “Free Hawaii News” debuting tonight Friday, April 3rd airs at 7 PM on `Olelo Television Channel 53 on O`ahu, on all neighbor islands and also at FreeHawaiiNews.com
“Itʻs been almost three years since the Lahaina fires and when we heard that the Lahaina Community Land Trust had been looking into how ‘āina has changed hands since then, we spoke with them to see what they have discovered,” reports Free Hawaii News co-host Leon Siu.
“Also on the April Free Hawaii News, Leon and I discuss how important the Pacific Way is in times of tragedies. We take a close look at the importance of first responders and who they actually were when the flood waters started rising. Hawai`iʻs first responders may not be who you think they are and itʻs what makes Hawai`i so special,” remarked Free Hawaii News co-host Hinaleimoana Wong.
Then in a fascinating interview with Miki`ala Pescaia we take a look at traditional Hawaiian death practices and in his report Adam Keawe Manalo-Camp explains why the Hawaiian Homes program is a trap.
Also Leon Siu investigates where Hawaiian Kingdom subjects are and if they qualify as modern day identity theft victims.
Finally, Kumu Hinaʻs Mana`o segment examines how the US expects Hawaiians to behave and why.
