THE GREAT PROTEST OF JULY 2, 1894

5,000 Loyalist Protest Against So-Called Republic

Without advertising, without preparations, a crowd of loyal citizens met yesterday on Palace Square, and then there did solemnly protest against the proclamation of a republic, not representing the people, not established for the benefit of the masses but virtually made for the sole benefit of the small and insignificant clique placed in power by J. L. Stevens and American troops in controversy of justice, honor, and popular will.

Over five thousand people gathered, among whom were all classes, all nationalities and all friends of popular government. The meeting was most orderly, and as Nawahi urged in opening the meeting, free from any undue demonstration, free from noise generally attached to a political meeting. Mr. J. O. Carter, one of the oldest and best known citizens in the country read the resolution, protesting against the so-called republic. Messrs. Bush, Nawahi and Kaulia spoke to the Hawaiians in most eloquent terns, and translated the resolution which was received with tremendous cheering by the Hawaiians. The following is the text of the resolution.

Be it resolved. That the Hui Aloha Aina and other patriotic leagues, together with the loyal subjects of the Hawaiian Kingdom, in mass meeting assembled, representing by far the greater majority of the legitimate voters of this country, do hereby most solemnly protest against the promulgation of a new Constitution, formed without the consent and participation of the people, and we also protest against changing the form of government from the one under which we have lived peacefully and prosperously for many years. And that we maintain that the will of the majority of the legitimate voters of Hawaii should be the supreme power of the land, as such power is so recognized and accepted in all civilized countries, and by all the enlightened governments of the world.

HERE'S WHY HAWAIIAN CEDED LANDS ARE REALLY STOLEN LANDS

All land in Hawai`i was initially stolen in 1893 by a group of foreigners who subsequently formed the Provisional Government.

Failing at its first attempt in 1894 to be annexed by the US Government, the provisional government reincorporated themselves into the phony Republic of Hawai`i.

The Republic of Hawai`i totaled less than 4000 citizens, mostly white foreigners, compared to the 45,000 Hawaiian Kingdom Nationals living throughout Hawai`i at that time.

It was the Republic of Hawai`i that later exchanged stolen Hawaiian Kingdom lands (property now known in part as the so-called “ceded lands”) with the US.

By their own laws, the US cannot simply walk in and take Hawaiian land titles and erase the word "Royal" and replace it with "United States" Patent.
 
They and the fake state of Hawai`i have never had clear title to land in Hawai`i since Jan 17, 1893. They know this.

The only way the United States will ever be able to get clear title to the Hawaiian Islands is if Hawaiians give it to them.
 
This is why title to the Hawaiian islands never transferred to the United States by the Newlands resolution.

The Newlands resolution relied on a treaty of annexation from the republic of Hawai`i.

But since there never was a treaty of annexation, the insurgent republic of Hawai`i never owned title to the lands because the Kingdom of Hawai`i never gave it to them.

But now theyʻve got a plan -theyʻre going to get Hawaiians to give title to them.

How Will They Do That?

Theyʻve tried to register, by hook or crook, a majority of Hawaiians onto Kana`iolowalu which will create a "Hawaiian tribe." 

When that failed they simply transferred tens of thousands of names form other registries without peopleʻs permission.

Then, through a so-called constitutional convention,  they're going to draft governing documents to re-organize the Hawaiian government into a "Native Hawaiian governing entity."

They 're going to get Hawaiians to elect officers to that government.

Next, they're going to make sure those governing documents give the officers of the governing entity the authority to give away land title in negotiations.

Then, they're going to try to get the majority of Hawaiians on the roll to vote for the new governing documents to reorganize the Hawaiian government.

Then that governing entity, whether authorized and approved by the majority of Hawaiians or not,  will sit down at the negotiating table with the US and trade land title for cash and benefits.

Many people believe that only the Kingdom of Hawai`i is authorized to give a way title to the Hawaiian Islands - and they are correct, but only as long as the kingdom remains intact.
 
If the majority of its subjects revolt by forming a new government, the kingdom no longer exists.

The United States claims it possesses the Hawaiian Islands. But the facts show that at no time did lawful title to the Hawaiian Islands actually transfer from the Hawaiian Kingdom to the US either directly or indirectly.

An independent neutral nation, the Hawaiian Kingdom, was invaded and overthrown by the US, a foreign state.

Since then the US has unlawfully occupied Hawai`i for 120 years.

In January 1893, John L. Stevens, the US ambassador to Hawai`i conspired with 13 civilian businessmen to seize control of the Hawaiian Islands.

He proceeded to have 164 marines, armed with rifles and canon, disembark from the USS Boston. They camped and set up their canon to direct fire against Queen Lili`uokalani’s Palace.

The US declared Hawaiian nationals US citizens.

Yet, Hawaiian nationals never consented to their nation being ceded to the US, the loss of their Hawaiian nationality, nor to becoming US citizens.

In fact, all treaties between the Nation of Hawai`i and the United States of America including the treaty of Friendship, Commerce, Navigation and Extradition of 1850 have never been lawfully terminated.

The US established the “Committee of Safety,” later the “Provisional Government,” and finally the “Republic of Hawai`i.”

They remained in power only by the presence and threat of the US military.

Thus, right to self-determination was and is to this very day, being violated by the United States by their unlawful occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

The United States still has an occupational government over the Hawaiian Kingdom called the “State of Hawai`i.”
