HERE'S WHAT ONE MISSOURIAN HAD TO SAY ABOUT HIS TRIP TO HAWAI `I
Part Two -
There is a group of 100% native Hawaiians on the Northwest corner of Oahu who live on beaches in tents.
There are no white people there.
They came to these islands with plenty of resources and money.
Property values went up exponentially every year, which forced the Hawaiians off their land and into destitute living environments on beaches with tarps for roofs.
These people need their voices back!
They need the land that was stolen from them by the resorts and high rises. This aggression will not stand.
The trip was amazing, but it opened my eyes to how much these Hawaiian people truly lost from our gain.
Not everyone's treasure is the same.
