HERE'S WHAT ONE MISSOURIAN HAS TO SAY ABOUT HIS TRIP TO HAWAI`I

I just got back to Missouri from Hawai`i.
It was depressing feeling the plane land in the state of my birth knowing that on the other side of the world is a place that needs me much more than here.
Hawai`i is beautiful. we all know that. For that reason, we want to go there, but there is so much more to it than beauty.
There is also theft and rape of culture.
The Hawaiians (the one's outside of Honolulu and Waikiki) do not approve of the United States being there.
They don't want to be a state. They want their independence....
Put yourself in their shoes.
Your family (successfully) rules a country for 2000 years and then some white folks from a world away come in and say "OK this is it. We need these islands, that just happen to be spectacularly beautiful, for our south pacific military stronghold, and guess what?!?!?!? YOU GET TO BE A STATE!!! Hot Diggity Dog!"
What a joke.
