"Law Of The Splintered Paddle - A Visit With Laulani Teale"
There were many laws governing ancient Hawai`i, but none more significant than Kanawai Mamala Hoe, or Law Of The Splintered Paddle, decreed by Kamehameha I. So when peacemaker and activist Laulani Teale recently had a banner commemorating Kanawai Mamala Hoe confiscated by local authorities at a De-Occupy Honolulu encampment, she naturally wanted it back. When attempts to meet with the mayor resulted in her arrest, she only became more determined. Donʻt miss our fascinating visit with Laulani as she reveals what happened to her banner and why Honoluluʻs mayor turned and ran when he saw her coming - Watch It Here
