When the Ku`e petitions traveled throughout the Hawaiian Islands in the late 1800ʻs, the vast majority of Hawaiians who signed their names left a very clear message - they did not want Hawai`i to be annexed to the US. Today, Clare Apana and Joyclynn Costa are taking those same petitions around Hawai`i again so present day Hawaiians, many of whom are direct descendants of the original signers, can also add their own names and let the world know that they too stand for the restoration of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
