These pictures are from my recent visit to New York 3 weeks ago. This is the office I use when I'm in New York.

With me is Rev. Liberato Bautista who has been the main representative for the Methodist Church to the UN for about 24 years, about as long as we've been friends. He is also the outgoing President of CoNGO and has led that august organization to new levels of influence.

I just arrived back this morning for the General Assembly and Board Meeting of the "Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations" (CoNGO for short). It is an organization of over 600 Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from around the world that interact at a direct, high level basis with the United Nations on a wide variety of issues.

This week, the CoNGO General Assembly will be approving the formation of a new substantive committee that I've been working for nearly three years to put together. We expect this new committee (and its sub-committees) to have a profound effect on the fulfillment of the UN's mission.

Also, here are some pics of recent meetings with Pacific ambassadors to the UN.
