WILL THE US SUCCEED AT TURNING HAWAIIANS INTO AMERICAN INDIANS?
The Bait & Switch Game -
The Clinton Apology of 1993 was a 'bait-and-switch' gambit to cover up and avoid ever having to fulfill the 120 year-old Cleveland-Lili`uokalani agreement.
Based on the Clinton Apology, tens of millions of dollars and untold resources—human and otherwise—have been expended by the US and its puppet "State of Hawai`i" government agencies (like the Office of Hawaiian Affairs) to offer decoys like the Akaka Bill, Kau Inoa, Kana`iolowalu, and other nefarious schemes to "Indian-ize" Hawaiians.
The ploy is to lure Hawaiians (with a nice t-shirt) into signing up to form an American/Hawaiian tribal nation. In essence, joining helps the US deny any obligation to restore the Hawaiian Kingdom.
The good news is the bait-and-switch gambit has backfired.
The monumental failure of Kana`iolowalu shows that Hawaiians are ma`a (familiar) to the tribal nation trick.
Hawaiians are not buying it, and do not trust those US government agencies, quasi-government organizations and corporations that are trying to lead them down the road to captivity.
The Obama Card -
Since they have not succeeded in getting Hawaiians to walk into the trap, the 'powers that be' are preparing to play the Presidential Executive Order card. That is, to have President Obama "Indian-ize" Hawaiians by simply decreeing (creating out of thin air a la Republic of Hawai`i), a Native-Hawaiian-American-Indian tribe with lots of government enticements (not just t-shirts) to attract the masses.
But opening up the deck to play the Obama Executive Order card, will expose (especially if we scream bloody murder) that there is only one card in that can be played. And that is the 120 year-old Cleveland-Lili`uokalani agreement.
