DEPT. OF INTERIOR ADDS NEW FEDERAL RECOGNITION HEARINGS IN THE US

The US Dept. of Interior is suddenly adding more Indian Country hearings to places where there are significant Native Hawaiian populations nearby within the United States.

So far, a new one has been announced for Las Vegas this Sunday, July 27.

Below is a summary sent to American Indian leaders asking them to stand with us in opposition to the DOI proposal. Please send it on to anyone you know in the areas Listed below.

U.S. DOI HEARINGS - The Latest Assault on Hawai`i

BACKGROUND -
The Hawaiian Islands are not part of the United States.

For over a hundred years the United States told everyone that it lawfully acquired the Hawaiian Islands and that in 1959 Hawaiians willingly joined the US as a state.

The truth is, it’s a lie. In recent years, Hawaiian patriots have successfully exposed the United States' fraud, and that under international law, the Hawaiian Islands are still a sovereign independent country and the United States is actually just a big, lying, occupying bully.

As a result, Hawaiian patriots have been fervently working with nickels and dimes to free their country and restore independence. Meanwhile, the occupier and their Hawaiian-American collaborators are pouring in tens of millions of dollars seeking to keep Hawai`i under the US and 'launder’ the problem to make it look legitimate; and sucker Hawaiians into a tribal relationship with the US.

Why are Hawaiian patriots outraged? All these years we were told we were adopted; but then we found out we had been kidnapped!  So now, instead of setting us free, the kidnapper wants us to continue living with him, under his rule - and if we do, he’ll give us some nice things.

HAWAIIAN-AMERICAN TRIBE -
The scheme to make Hawaiians into a domestic tribe of the US began 14 years ago when a US Senator from Hawai`i, Daniel K. Akaka, submitted a “federal recognition” bill to the US Congress. This was backed wholeheartedly by the most powerful man in the US Senate, Daniel K. Inouye, also from Hawai`i. Their combined influence and resources, along with those of the State of Hawai`i made for a formidable campaign. On top of that, the state Office of Hawaiian Affairs spent $25 million of our money (from our trust fund) to get this bill through the US Congress.

But our people — with no money, but with the truth and a lot of heart — fought against it and prevailed… We stopped the Akaka Bill!

By 2012, the Democrats (the ones behind this all along) had failed to get “federal recognition" through Congress and decided to try another way. The idea was for the fake State of Hawai`i to ʻcreateʻ a Native Hawaiian tribe and then, using the president’s executive powers through the Department of the Interior, confer federal recognition of the newly-concocted Hawaiian tribe.

DOI HEARINGS -
What is going on right now? The US Department of the Interior is going through the motions to adopt rules and procedures that will allow them to “recognize” the Native Hawaiian tribe as one of the 500-plus tribes already federally recognized.

The DOI recently held 15 consultative hearings on five of the Hawaiian islands. They were met with strong opposition at every meeting with 80-90% of the people saying loud and clear … we know who we are (Hawaiian subjects/nationals/patriots); we know what we want (independence); and we definitely know what we don’t want (US federal recognition as an American Indian tribe.)

In effect, the DOI panel ran into a firestorm of staunch Hawaiians saying “NO WAY!"… But we know the Feds are not going to give up easily.

DOI INDIAN COUNTRY HEARINGS -
So now the DOI is shifting their consultation to Indian Country. We are concerned that the DOI is not going out to talk to our brothers and sisters in the towns and villages, but to those running the casino-resorts…who would be more likely to support the DOI proposal.

Our experience in Hawai`i is that the US government listens more to the trough-feeding, sell-out native institutions (like the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission, the Department of Hawaiian Homelands, the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, etc.) than to native peoples clinging for existence.

With four of the five hearings to be held at Indian casino/resorts, most likely the leaders of those casino tribes are going to support the DOI (Bureau of Indian Affairs) proposal to create a Native American-Hawaiian tribe… To use a gambling term, “The fix is in!"

We need your help!

Please let everyone in the vicinity of these hearings know and encourage them to go and testify against the DOI proposal. The DOI deliberately made the proposal complicated by asking 19 questions to which people are to respond. So how to respond? What position to take? Just stand in solidarity with Hawaiians who say absolutely “NO” to federal recognition on all counts. Those testifying don't have to be Native American or Hawaiian…anyone who will speak on behalf of freedom for the Hawaiian people…not further captivity under the kidnapper.

You can find those 19 questions as well as simple and easy responses you can quickly cut and paste right here - http://TinyURL.com/19Questions
