DESPERATION IN ACTION - ROBIN DANNER, CNHA & THE SCHAA TELL US TRIBES HAWAIIANS SUPPORT FEDERAL RECOGNITION

A big mahalo to everyone who has taken the time to submit testimony online to tell the US Dept. Of Interior “NO!” to federal recognition for Kanaka Maoli.
The majority of testimony already submitted online is running against the push to turn Kanaka Maoli into US Hawaiian Indians.
Because of this, those who are backing this scheme have become very nervous.
As a result, Robin Danner is claiming that she and CNHA president Michelle Kauhane met last week with 38 Great Plains Tribes and their chairmen in Montana and were able to convince them to submit testimony supporting the current push for Hawaiian federal recognition.
This outrageous act shows how desperate they are and is further proof they will stop at nothing to get their way - at the expense of you, your `ohana and all Hawaiian Kingdom subjects.
Their desperation shows in a document Robin Danner and the SCHAA created called a “Draft Resolution for Consideration by Tribal Leaders.”
In it, she not only asks Tribal Leaders to sign on a resolution supporting US federal recognition for Hawaiians but she also falsely claims the majority of Hawaiians in fact support US federal recognition.
Here is what she says -
“The majority Support, and know that the survival of our people, like the survival of your people, is greatly enhanced through Self Governance recognized by the United States.
Over 125,000 Native Hawaiians have come together and enrolled on our Base Roll, recognized by the State of Hawaii, to reorganize a Native Hawaiian Government.”
And if you were one of those that gave heartfelt testimony at the DOI hearings throughout Hawai`i, here is how Robin Danner describes you to Tribal Leaders across the US -
“The opposition is a minority, but a particularly angry minority. During the DoI hearings in Hawaii, it was not uncommon for these individuals to resort to name calling of the federal officials which included 2 DoI Assistant Secretaries. While not condoned by most Native Hawaiian leaders, it is a behavior indicative of disenfranchisement and mistrust.”

In light of these outrageous lies, we are asking you to let US indian tribes know that you are AGAINST both US federal recognition for Hawai`i and attempts of US tribes to influence this process.

This is a large document with hundred of tribes listed. We realize that no one person can email every single tribe.
However it is imperative that we contact as many as possible given what is at stake.
Time is quickly running out. The deadline to submit testimony to the DOI is August 19th.
Please set aside some time every day between now and August 19th to contact as many tribal leaders as you can and tell them “NO!” to federal recognition and their misguided attempts to influence the process in Hawai`i.
