LIVING IN A FOOD DESERT ON “VOICES OF TRUTH - ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`IʻS FUTURE"
"Food Desert - A Visit With Ka`iulani Milham"
Wai is the Hawaiian word for fresh water, yet today thereʻs not much wai in Wai`anae, and thatʻs why we went there to meet Ka`iulani Milham. We were shocked to learn that in old times Wai`anae used to be one of O`ahuʻs most abundant food production areas but imports 60% of itʻs water today. She showed us where the water used to flow and also why itʻs still needed today. Join us in our fascinating visit with Ka`iulani and see for yourself why the wai needs to go back in Wai`anae - Watch It Here
