"The Art Of Lei Hulu - A Visit With Paulette Kahalepuna"

As a girl Paulette used to sit and watch her mother do something only a handful of other people on earth knew how to do - the art of Lei Hulu or ancient Hawaiian feather weaving. So she asked her mother to teach her this craft that centuries ago created the feather-covered capes, helmets & kahili of Hawai`iʻs most famous rulers. After a while Paulette urged her mother to open a one-of-a-kind store featuring Lei Hulu and thatʻs where we spent our day getting an inside tour. Donʻt miss our visit with Paulette as we discover amazing modern day treasures of ancient Hawai`i - Watch It Here

"From Annexation To Occupation - A Visit With Tom Coffman"

An amazing thing happened as award-winning journalist Tom Coffman was researching the period in Hawai`i between the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom and the supposed annexation to the US in the late 1800ʻs. What Tom discovered really happened was nothing like what the history books say. There he sat in the US Library of Congress holding the proof in his own hands - petitions confirming the overwhelming majority of Hawaiian Kingdom citizens did not want Hawai`i to become part of the US. Donʻt miss our fascinating visit with Tom as he reveals what it was like to be one of only a few people who helped discover the true history of Hawai`i - Watch It Here

MAKING WAVES PAVING OVER GRAVES ON VOICES OF TRUTH – ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I’S FUTURE

Would you let someone build a house over your grandparent’s grave if they paid you enough? Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

That’s exactly what’s happening on Kaua`i. There are thirty documented graves where a millionaire developer from California has been trying to build a – you guessed it – beach front vacation house on top of an ancient Hawaiian cemetery.

Up to now the Kaua`i Burial Council has not allowed it to proceed. But recently state officials gave the go-ahead. What can be done to stop this outrageous desecration? Find out this coming Wednesday on Free Hawai`i TV.

Is there a big difference between native speakers of Hawaiian and that taught in schools? In one of our most popular recent shows, native speaker Keao NeSmith gives us that answer and a whole lot more. Catch him all this week on Hawai`i’s award winning Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

MONDAY, March 22nd At 6:30 PM Maui – Akaku, Channel 53

HISTORY COMES ALIVE AS THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE THRIVES ON VOICES OF TRUTH – ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I’S FUTURE

Mahalo to everyone who sends their aloha In response to the Koani Foundation announcement its award winning television show Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future now airs in broadcast markets outside Hawai`i.
