HAS THE ILLEGAL US OCCUPATION OF HAWAI`I WORKED?

When will it all end? Hawai`i's mountains are not for sale to the highest bidder!

Our most sacred mountain tops are getting covered with man made structures that are tearing up the very fabric of life here in Hawai`i.

Under our seas we have monster military ships killing everything in site with their sonar. On the mountain tops we have giant microwave towers sending out deadly transmissions world wide. Now lets add more metal, glass and electronics to the mix just to make sure everything is dead!

Everyone wants Hawai`i for it strategic location in the Pacific. They all want to use Hawai`i for their own personal gain totally forgetting that Hawai`i is alive and has its own flowing energy, once respected in times past. Mana flows through the land and sea in Hawai`i much like your blood flows through your body.

Try strapping metal pans to your head, a chainsaw to your leg, a computer to your back and then go sit in the microwave oven for six months on high and see if you live!

Covering our mountains with electronics and metal will alter the natural bio rhythm of Hawai`i and cause all of us to get sick. It is already happening. Just look what is happening to our coral reefs! Corals need a balanced bio energy to grow. This energy must be in harmony with the energy flowing from the mountains and running off into the sea with the rain. Cover the mountains with electronics, glass and metal and you break this energy flow, killing the corals and marine life.

University of Hawai`i wants to study the universe, the Military wants to blow up North Korea with microwaves and Monsanto wants to alter the weather in China and starve their people, and they all want to run their operations from Hawai`i with no regard for the health of the land, its people and living creatures that were on this island chain way before UH and the US military were even invented!

We need to scrub our mountains clean from ALL electronics, metal, plastic and other man made junk if we intend to have any kind of healthy environment for our children to live in down the road.

Why is this so hard for modern day humans to understand?

THE MYTH OF ECONOMIC BENEFIT

The True Cost Of Hawai`ʻs Militarization

The Hawai`i Independent

A common myth ingrained in Hawaiʻi’s public discourse is the benefit—even necessity—of the United States military as an economic crutch for our island state. Lawmakers, business owners and working-class citizens alike repeat this mantra, yet the direct and indirect costs accrued by U.S. military activity and its presence rarely receive much scrutiny. In any relationship there must be a give and take. But when one side consistently takes more than it gives, the relationship begins to deteriorate....

HAWAIIANS ANGERED BY BURIAL DESECRATIONS

LIHU`E, O`AHU - Representatives from several Hawaiian organizations are angered over recent US Army
disturbance of ʻiwi kupuna (ancestral remains) at Schofield Barracks where a cultural complex has been disturbed by Stryker-related construction.

Once promised by the US military the area would be closed,
military construction and training continue to destroy the large expanse of land sacred to native Hawaiians.

"This is Hawaiian land, we all know that the US military has no moral or legal authority over our
lands or resources," said Andre Perez of Hui Pu. "Relocating the bones of our ancestors for
warfare training is unacceptable. It is the military who needs to relocate."

Lihu`e was once the ruling center of
O`ahu, hosting famous rulers and infamous battles. These sites are part of a complex that laments and praises the history and culture of our ancestors.

The massive amount of cultural properties located in this
area help to paint the picture of the pre-contact land use of ancient Lihu`e.

"The significance and
importance of this landscape to Kanaka Maoli is limitless," remarked
Leimaile Quitevis, former cultural monitor who documented many of the sites in Lihu`e and a member of the O`ahu Island Burial Council.

Several human bone fragments have been documented throughout the project area.

To date this project has damaged numerous petroglyphs,
desecrated a minimum of two individual’s graves and breached the site protective measures.

"The Army failed to do adequate cultural site investigations and consultations before drawing up
and proceeding with its Stryker brigade plans," said Summer Mullins a representative from
Kipuka, one of the three native Hawaiian groups involved in the 2004 litigation against Stryker expansion.

WHO REALLY VOTED FOR STATEHOOD?

Maui News - September 14, 2009

It would behoove a Sept. 5 letter writer to acknowledge that the majority of Hawai`i who "voted overwhelmingly for statehood in 1959" were in fact American military personnel stationed on O`ahu.

That doesn't sound like Hawai`i voting for statehood. That sounds like America voting for statehood, the way America voted for annexation....

"Love it or leave it." Really? Is that what's going through your head when you see sovereignty protesters on the side of the road? Would you say that to your Hawaiian friends?

If that's what you have to say to someone who would merely show support for us, could we then safely assume that you would take pleasure in seeing the whole lot of us sovereigns shipped off to some Third World ghetto along with anyone who agrees with us?

I certainly hope not, because that would be, dare I say it? Un-American.

SUPERFERRY LOBBIES FOR MILITARY BUSINESS

The Hawai`i Superferry has spent $210,000 since last summer to lobby for federal money to install features on its second high-speed catamaran to make it more attractive for military use.

The Superferry paid Blank Rome LLC, a prominent law and lobbying firm, to try to obtain federal money through the National Defense Features program to cover the cost of improvements to its second catamaran under construction at the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, Ala.

The defense program covers the installation of militarily useful features on commercial ships if the owners agree to make the ships available to the military during emergencies.

The Superferry also may eventually retrofit the Alakai, which is now in commercial passenger and cargo service between O`ahu and Maui, with a vehicle ramp and other improvements.

The improvements to the catamarans, if completed, would make the vessels self-sustaining and better suited for military assignments here and abroad. The second ferry is scheduled for delivery next February.

John Lehman, a Superferry investor and former secretary of the Navy, and a Superferry executive told Pacific Business News in March 2005 of the ferry's potential to move the Army's Stryker brigade and other military equipment between O`ahu and the Big Island.
