WERE HAWAIIANS THE ONLY ONES WRONGED?

The forceful takeover of the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1893, adversely affected a country’s government, its lands and its citizens, not only the members of a single ethnic group.

It was the Hawaiian Kingdom — a nation — that was taken, not the aboriginal people — the kanaka maoli (what the US and the state of Hawai`i insist on calling, “Native Hawaiians.”)

Yes, kanaka maoli were harmed by the loss of their nation, but so were many non-aboriginal subject/citizens of the Hawaiian Kingdom - Asians, Caucasian, Polynesians and so forth.

This is a crucial point. When a nation is stolen, all the citizens of that nation are deprived of their country, not only the aboriginal people.

Both occupying governments, the US federal and its puppet, the fake state of Hawai`i either assert or presume in their laws and policies, that the takeover of 1893 affected only “Native Hawaiians.”

By purposefully limiting their culpability to “Native Hawaiians,” the US carefully conceals the true scope of the problem, presenting it as a domestic, localized, racially defined problem, rather than the violation of the unalienable rights of the citizens of a recognized sovereign foreign nation.

IS IT ANY WONDER PEOPLE WANT THE ILLEGAL OCCUPATION OF HAWAI`I TO END?

Life Harder Under US Occupation

The Hawaiian Kingdom grew all its own food and was even a food exporter to California during the Gold Rush days.

Today the fake state of Hawai`i imports 95% of all its food from the US.

In the 1980s, Hawai`i gained the enviable reputation of providing medical insurance to the highest percentage of residents of any state.

But after the state ended dental cover, toothless smiles are commonplace among the poor. Tens of thousands of residents have no medical insurance at all.

Despite higher profits for many businesses, jobs are scarce and most of the available work pays minimum wage or close to it.

In some cases, the lives of the working poor are worse than the unemployed.
Among other things, they don't qualify for state financial assistance or full food stamp benefits.

Today most of Hawai`i island, Molokai, Lana`i and Kaua`i are economic wastelands with little opportunity to make a decent living.

Workers often share apartments or small houses with several other workers because rents are too expensive for one or two individuals to afford.

On every island married couples with children often work two or even three jobs just to make ends meet - if they are fortunate enough to find that many jobs, even at minimum wage.

HOW DID HAWAIIANS BECOME OUTCASTS IN THEIR OWN LAND?

Here's What The History Books Won't Tell You -

Western diseases, to which Hawaiians had no immunity, decimated their numbers. At the time of western contact, well over 500,000 people inhabited the Hawaiian Islands.

By 1805 that number had been more than halved.

By 1853 there were only 71,000 Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian people in the islands.

Within 100 years of western contact, the Hawaiian population had been reduced by nearly 90 percent.

According to the 2000 census, the numbers of people who claim some native Hawaiian ancestry have increased to over 400,000. But only 239,000 live in Hawai`i and they are the poorest, most locked-up population in the state.

Although they only make up about 20 percent of the state's population, in June 2001 they made up 39 percent of the state's prison population, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

Sadly, today they make up 37 percent of the state's homeless population.

WHO REALLY OWNS LAND IN HAWAI`I TODAY?

Clear title, regarding legitimate legal ownership of land in Hawai`i is a topic that is hotly debated in political and commercial areas.

More and more lands are being "quiet titled" in courts with the aid of foreign laws (US and fake state of Hawai`i) illegally imposed against the rightful and legal owners and a judicial system of the US occupier aiding and abetting in these crimes.

So it's no wonder developers are eager to cash in big time by building luxury homes for rich foreigners throughout Hawai`i.

To this day, land titles in Hawai`i continue to carry the original royal patent from the Mahele of 1848.

If the US government or fake state of Hawai`i and their citizens rightfully have clear title to these lands, then why hasn't the US patent office replaced the royal patents as was done in the other 49 states?

Answer - Each royal patent has been "adjudicated," making them all a legal decree.

When purchasing land, a "warranty deed" is issued instead, not clear title per se.

It's no different than if someone steals your car and attempts to sell it to someone else.

They can't convey the "pink slip" to the new owner because they never had it in the first place - they're simply selling stolen property.

That's Why There Is No Clear Title Today To Land In Hawai`i - It's All Legally Still Hawaiian Kingdom Lands.

LEARNING FROM THE PAST TO SAVE THE FUTURE

What Did Ancient Hawaiians Know That We Donʻt?

New York Times - March 23, 2012

Centuries ago, Hawaiians caught three times more fish annually than scientists generally consider to be sustainable in modern times — and maintained this level of harvest for more than 400 years, researchers report in a new study in the journal Fish and Fisheries.

The findings could be instructive for agencies that enforce fishing limits in overfished waters around the globe.

Native Hawaiians caught about 50 percent more fish than modern fleets catch today in both Hawaii and the Florida Keys, the two largest reef ecosystems in the United States, said a co-author of the study, Loren McClenachan, a fisheries researcher at Colby College in Waterville, Me.

Hawaiians harvested about 15 metric tons of fish per square kilometer of reef annually from 1400 to 1800, the study found. That’s five times the median harvest in island nations worldwide today.

Dr. McClenachan and her co-author, John Kittinger, a researcher at the Center for Ocean Solutions in Monterey, Calif., drew on a variety of historical records and a method called catch reconstruction to estimate historical harvests in the Hawaiian Islands and the Florida Keys.

The Hawaiians used many techniques similar to those employed today, like temporary or permanent bans from fishing in certain areas, restrictions on certain species and gear, and catch limits. But they enforced the rules strictly; breaking them could mean corporal punishment or even death....
