CURIOUS ABOUT HOW HAWAI`I SUPPOSEDLY BECAME A US STATE ?
The United States acquired Hawai`i through force.
Queen Lili'uokalani, Hawai`i's last Queen, was deposed on Jan. 17, 1893, by a group of American businessmen supported by the United States Navy and Marine Corps and diplomatic representatives.
Sovereignty of Hawai`i was allegedly transferred to the U.S. on Aug. 12, 1898 during ceremonies at Iolani Palace in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu.
Hawai`i allegedly became a U.S. territory in 1900.
On Nov. 23, 1993, The United States apologized for illegally overthrowing the Kingdom of Hawai`i, and recognized the inherent sovereignty and right of self-determination of native islanders.
Needless to say, a lot of shady events took place between Jan. 17,1893 and Aug. 21, 1959.
Hawaiian sovereignty is a hot issue in the islands to this day and likely will be for as long as the United States flag flies over Hawai`i.

The County of Hawai`i, in an attempt to survey lands they believe is theirs, is stopped by native subjects of the Hawaiian Kingdom in Kawa`a who say the `aina (land) belongs to their families.
A standoff ensues between the two governments, and ends peacefully, as the county elects to leave without entering the property.

SUPERFERRY - FREE KAUA`I CELEBRATES
Nawiliwili - “It’s the one-year anniversary of Kaua`i being ferry-free,” said Rich Hoeppner, chairman of the nonprofit People for the Preservation of Kaua`i.
“It’s the one-year anniversary from the day when we blocked them and made them turn around and go back to O`ahu, and they haven’t been back since. That requires a celebration.”

HERE'S WHY MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WANT THE ILLEGAL U.S. OCCUPATION OF HAWAI`I TO END
Native Hawaiians constitute roughly 22 per cent of the state population, but they represent 54 per cent of the prison population.
Not coincidentally, they also have the lowest per capita income, the highest poverty rate and the shortest lifespan of any ethnic group in Hawai`i.
Hawai`i public school students receive very poor education by any standard of measurement. They consistently rank among the lowest of any state in test scores.
Education reform has been talked to death by every governor and legislature of the past 30 years, but nothing substantial has been done.
This has led to a "brain drain" in the islands. Most of the bright students who manage to learn something in spite of the handicapped school system leave Hawai`i for foreign colleges and careers.
In the 1980s, Hawai`i gained the enviable reputation of providing medical insurance to the highest percentage of residents of any state. A decade after the state ended dental cover, toothless smiles are commonplace among the poor. Tens of thousands of residents have no medical insurance at all.
Despite higher profits for many businesses, jobs are scarce and most of the available work pays minimum wage or close to it.
In some cases, the lives of the working poor are worse than the unemployed.
Among other things, they don't qualify for state financial assistance or full food stamp benefits.

"The Iolani Palace is a federally protected area. Any conversation may be recorded and submitted to the U.S. Congressional record for investigation purposes. The King and Queen of Hawaii, and the Kingdom of Hawaii, is now under a condition of federal protective custody.
"The State of Hawaii, and all persons thereof, is now under a condition of federal arrest. Under no circumstances shall they, nor anyone else, violate the protective custody order. There shall be no action which may harm or endanger the welfare of the Kingdom or the people of either the Kingdom of Hawaii or the United States.
"No persons shall be admitted onto the Iolani Palace grounds without authorized consent from the Royal Marshal or the King.
"All special requests shall be done in writing, and hand delivered to the King by the Marshal.

WHO WINS IN A FREE HAWAI`I ? - EVERYONE !
One of the biggest lies perpetuated is when Hawai`i achieves nationhood once again it will be at the expense of everyone else.
But no one will be kicked out; their businesses seized or their homes and property confiscated.
Instead, everyone, Hawaiians and all others, will be citizens of the sovereign and independent Nation of Hawai`i.
The Hawaiian Nation included people of many ethnic backgrounds that were loyal citizens before the illegal overthrow and it will be so again.
The truth is a sovereign Hawaiian nation will need the contributions and talents of all of its citizens to remain viable in the world. Hawaiians would be no better than the very supremacists that overthrew and occupied them were they to divide people by race.
Hawaiians have always been inclusive, not exclusive.
How would this be accomplished politically given a civil war resulted the last time a state tried to leave the US?
Unlike the southern US states, the Kingdom of Hawai`i and its citizens never agreed to become part of the United States in the first place.
Therefore a move for Hawai`i to secede from the US would be both unnecessary and inappropriate.
Much like removing the top coat of paint to reveal the one underneath, the US Congress, after consultation between Hawaiians and the US at the level of state to state, could simply enact a US federal law that dissolves the entity known as the “state government” in Hawai`i.
What would be left in its place is what has existed all along anyway without interruption – the Nation of Hawai`i.
One of the biggest lies perpetuated is when Hawai`i achieves nationhood once again it will be at the expense of everyone else.
But no one will be kicked out; their businesses seized or their homes and property confiscated.
Instead, everyone, Hawaiians and all others, will be citizens of the sovereign and independent Nation of Hawai`i.
The Hawaiian Nation included people of many ethnic backgrounds that were loyal citizens before the illegal overthrow and it will be so again.
The truth is a sovereign Hawaiian nation will need the contributions and talents of all of its citizens to remain viable in the world. Hawaiians would be no better than the very supremacists that overthrew and occupied them were they to divide people by race.
Hawaiians have always been inclusive, not exclusive.
How would this be accomplished politically given a civil war resulted the last time a state tried to leave the US?

The rules are an attempt to banish the Hawaiian Kingdom from the grounds and prevent anyone from claiming the Palace as an active seat of government in the future.

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU ?
Let's pretend I visit your house. You offer me food and rest. I decide to stay.
Then, I order you and your family around, use your things and rearrange the rooms.
I take down your photos and religious symbols, replace them with my own and make you speak my language.
One day, I dig up your garden and replace it with crops that I can sell. You and your family must now buy all of your food from me.
Later, I invite my father and his buddies over. They bring guns. We take your keys.
I forge a deed and declare my father to be the owner of your house.
I bring more people. Some work for me. Some pay me to stay in your house.
I seize your savings and spend it on my friends.
You and your family now sleep on the porch.
Finally you protest. Being reasonable, I let you stay in a corner of the house and give you a small allowance, but only if you behave.
I tell you, "Sorry, I was wrong for taking the house."
But when you demand your house back, I tell you to be realistic. "You are part of this family now, whether you like it or not," I say. "Besides, this is for your own good. For all that I have done for you, why aren't you grateful?"

KAUA`I PROTEST ENDS PEACEFULLY
“We’re Leaving On Our Own Terms” Say Protesters
Naue, Kaua`i – The protest at the residential property of Joseph Brescia stopping luxury home construction over an ancient Hawaiian cemetery on Kaua`i’s North Shore has ended peacefully late this afternoon.
“We're leaving on our own terms,” remarked protestor Andre Perez of Pohaku O Kane. “Should Governor Lingle fail to intervene and construction start up again, we will be back in force.”
Over thirty protestors and cultural practitioners from O`ahu, Maui, Molokai and Hawai`i Island had arrived this morning and secured themselves to each other and the property by means of a popular activist lock-down device that results in law enforcement authorities spending several hours in an attempt to remove them.
The property, formerly owned by actor Sylvester Stallone, and purchased by California luxury homebuilder Joseph Brescia seven years ago, is considered culturally sacred and contains at least thirty ancient burials as well as numerous artifacts.

“Wouldn’t using taser guns on peaceful protestors be a violation of the use of “force continuum?” asked protester Andre Perez of Pohaku O Kane. “This would no doubt incur a major liability for Kaua`i police by the use of this kind of force.”
The protesters, who range in age, have been occupying the Joseph Brescia property throughout the day to stop further construction over a well-documented ancient Hawaiian cemetery containing the remains of at least thirty individuals.
“We do have people here who have had heart attacks and other health problems and our concern is their survival should Kaua`i police use this potentially lethal type of force,” remarked Perez.

Construction of a home or any other substantive structure on a cemetery is considered an extreme cultural affront.
Moreover, claim of property ownership is also in dispute since specific Hawaiians can trace their families having lived on that parcel going back centuries, and no clear title on property exists throughout Hawai`i.
