“CEDED LANDS” -
PERFECT TITLE / PERFECT CRIME
If the State of Hawai`i has perfect title, then the “ceded lands” is the perfect crime.
At the outset of the oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court in the “ceded lands” case, the state declared that it had “perfect title” over those lands and that this is an “indisputable” fact.
Then the state proceeded to say that the lands in this dispute were from the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom!
Apparently the illegality of the overthrow is also indisputable because it was parroted by the other two presenters and the justices. Hello!?? Isn’t illegally gotten property called stolen property not perfect title?
So the lands were stolen, but somehow the title is perfect? Oh, I get it! (wink, wink) Yes, we all agree the lands were stolen, but its OK because the thief made a detailed (but non-binding) “to whom it may concern” apology, and the thief is a nice guy (not to mention dangerously powerful).
So now if we all recite the mantra, perfect title, perfect title, perfect title, all will be…well…perfect! No pesky claimants, no encumbrances, no injunction, no need to answer to anyone. Best of all, no rule of law.
In essence, the state is saying to the court, “We have a perfect right to ignore the 116-year-long annoyance of ‘Hawaiian children lamenting for their homes.’ After all, our title is perfect! …perfect title, perfect title, perfect title...”

ANCIENT PAST MEETS THE PRESENT ON VOICES OF TRUTH – ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I’S FUTURE
The Maui Torch March to protest the sale of stolen Hawaiian Kingdom lands is underway and continues to draw large crowds.
Well over 200 supporters plus many elders from around the island attended the 11 PM Friday opening ceremony.
Residents numbering in the hundreds are turning out to greet and feed the marchers as they continue around Maui.
The marchers arrived at Paia at 4 AM this morning, where they were fed, rested, and have now arrived in Haiku.

FACTS SHOW ILLEGALITY OF OVERTHROW

Those of you who talk like you were there when they overthrew the queen and the Hawaiian kingdom should go to hawaiiankingdom.org and get your facts straight, especially you Mainland people who talk about Hawai`i being a state and not knowing that long before that, Hawai`i was a kingdom.
Hawai`i was not a part of America - that's why our flag resembles the English flag. On Jan. 16, 1893, a small group of individuals conspired with the United States diplomat and military to overthrow the islands' constitutional monarchy and tried for annexation on Feb. 15, 1893, under a treaty submitted to the United States of America.
President Grover Cleveland, having received notice that the overthrow was a illegal intervention, withdrew the treaty of annexation and appointed James H. Blount as a special commissioner to investigate the terms of the so-called revolution and to report his findings.
The Executive Documents of the United States House of Representatives, 53rd Congress, 1894-95, Appendix II, Foreign Relations, 1894, Affairs in Hawai`i, vol. 1 and 2 explains it all.
There should be no doubt in anyone's mind about what happened on Jan. 16, 1893, and why the Hawaiian people believe that all lands should not be sold but be returned to the Kingdom of Hawai`i.

AN ILLUMINATING JOURNEY - KA`APUNI E HO`A KUKUI NA MOKU `AINA
Maui Torch March Starts Tonight
Beginning tonight at 11 PM the people of Maui will gather at Moku`ula (Malu`uluolele Park), Lahaina to embark on a 200 mile journey circumnavigating the Island of Maui.
Marchers anticipate completing the journey on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Moku`ula with closing protocol and the handing-off of the torches for its finally journey.
A Copy of the Appeal (Hawai`i v. Office of Hawaiian Affairs, No. 07-1372, Oct. 1, 2008) to the US Supreme Court will be burned and used to ignite the Torches that will be carried across and through all the districts of Maui.
The Torches represent the awakening and enlightenment of knowledge to what is really and truly taking place for all Kanaka Maoli (native Hawaiians.)
· Lack of adequate Health Care for native Hawaiian Beneficiaries.
· Lack of Housing (homelessness) for native Hawaiian Beneficiaries.
· Lack of Funding for Education for native Hawaiian Beneficiaries

Lawmakers may give the Hawai`i Superferry more time to operate without an environmental impact statement.
Two measures moving through the Hawai`i Legislature would amend special legislation approved in 2007 that has allowed the Superferry to continue interisland operations.
The Hawai`i Department of Transportation was ordered by the Hawai`i Supreme Court to conduct an EIS on the ferry’s impact on state harbors.
Yet Governor Linda Lingle is calling for an extension until June 2010.

The US has acknowledged its government's complicity and crime in covert and overt actions in destabilizing, invading, belligerently occupying our sovereign nation, the Kingdom of Hawai`i - its government, its territory, and holding its people hostage....
The Queen's second protest, the Memorial and Ku`e Petitions of 1897 against unlawful annexation signed by over 98% of our Hawaiian citizens spoke for the people, but went ignored...
...The domestic joint-resolution known as the Newlands Resolution over-rode the people's choice in favor of the U.S. military-protected puppet Republic of Hawai`i....
The domestic Statehood Act of 1959 confirmed the seizure of the Hawaiian Kingdom for the US....
The Reorganization of the Native Hawaiian Government [through the Akaka bill] is a fraud [and a] deceitful misrepresentation of the Kingdom of Hawai`i.

WASHINGTON — As Congress prepared to debate expansion of drilling in taxpayer-owned coastal waters last fall, the Interior Department agency that collects oil and gas royalties was revealed to be caught up in a wide-ranging ethics scandal — including allegations of financial self-dealing, accepting gifts from energy companies, cocaine use and sexual misconduct.
This is the very same US federal agency that would administer federal recognition on Hawaiians should the Akaka bill pass.

AKAKA BILL REINTRODUCED INTO US CONGRESS
US Senate and House sponsors introduced the Akaka bill today which would create a process to legitimize the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
The legislation, if passed, would perfect all land title in Hawai`i, seal the theft of lands seized during the overthrow, and legally cover over all illegal acts by the US both during the overthrow and during the fake statehood vote in 1959.
There would be no legal recourse for recovery.
The Akaka bill would also designate native Hawaiians as "indians" or wards of the US federal government and place them on reservations.
Felons currently incarcerated in US federal prisons also enjoy the status of wards.
Typically native peoples who enter into such an agreement with the US federal government end up with less than two percent of their lands, little money and no legal recourse for recovery.

Of the 40,000 non Kingdom subjects in Hawai`i at the time of the illegal 1898 overthrow, only 1,928 or so were U.S. nationals as documented by the 1900 census.
They represented less than 3% of the entire population.
The rest of the non U.S. aliens were not supportive of the illegal annexation of Hawai`i by the US.
This means that less than 3% of the population, all U.S. aliens, hijacked the Hawaiian Nation against the wishes of almost everybody else.
