Senator Daniel Akaka once again introduced the Akaka bill into the US congress this last week even though it has virtually no chance of advance or success.
But an interesting development has now slowed down the Hawai`i fake state Akaka bill versions – the Lili`uokalani Executive agreements.
These still legally binding agreements compel the US to de-occupy Hawai`i and restore the Hawaiian Kingdom government to power.
An outpouring of community demand has forced the Hawai`i legislature to appoint a committee to investigate.
And now support is spreading because an entirely new and significant entity in Hawai`i has jumped on the bandwagon.
What is it and what impact could it have for a Free Hawai`i? Find out this coming Wednesday on Free Hawai`i TV.

Maui News - September 9, 2009
In regards to Richard Hillman's letter (Sept. 2), I find it amazing how people justify an illegal action with the mindset that if America didn't take Hawai`i then someone else would have.
I know some people who really feel that way and that is why they think it's a good thing that the Hawaiian people's government was overthrown by the United States of America. This is how they justify stealing.
If America hadn't taken Hawai`i, we may be under the control of Japan, France, England or Russia. But we are not. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, America sent in troops along with other countries to liberate Kuwait. Tell me what is the difference?
The Hawaiian government at the time of its overthrow was recognized by the world as a sovereign nation. If we still had control of our kingdom in 1942, I'm certain that America and its allies would have sent in troops as they did in the rest of the Pacific to stop Japan from getting closer to North America.
Yes, it's a fact that America stole Hawai`i and we are now a part of the United States. The part that Hawaiian people have a hard time understanding is if I steal from you, I will be prosecuted under the law, but if you stole from me it's OK because some other country would have done it. What a great concept.

There’s plenty of outrage and disgust at the Akaka bill, a blatant US attempt to seal the theft of the Hawaiian Nation and turn native Hawaiians into American Indians, an idea Hawai`i’s people testified overwhelmingly against nine years ago.
Since then, no hearings have been held in Hawai`i – the people’s voice has not been heard.
Many have asked what they can do to express their opposition, since the bill is being considered once again in the US congress.
Starting this Wednesday you’ll have your chance. You’ll not only be able to express your own opposition, we’ll tell you how you can help others declare their independence too.
Watch Free Hawai`i TV this coming Wednesday for details - we’ll tell you how you can say no to the Akaka bill and yes to a Free Hawai`i.
We feature this week just that - people seeking to determine their own future on Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i's Future.

Akaka Bill Would Bring Interior Department Nightmares
WASHINGTON — As Congress prepared to debate expansion of drilling in taxpayer-owned coastal waters last fall, the Interior Department agency that collects oil and gas royalties was revealed to be caught up in a wide-ranging ethics scandal — including allegations of financial self-dealing, accepting gifts from energy companies, cocaine use and sexual misconduct.
This is the very same US federal agency that would administer federal recognition on Hawaiians should the Akaka bill pass.

The so-called ceded lands are really only one thing - stolen lands of the Hawaiian Kingdom which was illegally overthrown over one hundred years ago and is still occupied by the U.S. to this very day.
We stand solidly opposed to any action by the so-called state of Hawai`i or the Office Of Hawaiian Affairs which would attempt to take, trade, dispose or sell these lands since they are not theirs to begin with.
The ceded lands belong to Hawai`i Nationals - descendants of citizens of the Hawaiian Kingdom and their loyalists.
There is no deal or negotiation which would be legitimate other than the return of our nation which includes all the `aina (land) not just some of it.
The plea by the fake state of Hawai`i to the U.S. Supreme Court to declare the ceded lands theirs is both illegitimate and an outrage.
We call upon Governor Linda Lingle and Attorney General Mark Bennett to immediately and permanently withdraw this case.
Their desire that the U.S. Supreme Court declare the ceded lands theirs based on the Newlands Resolution is simply an attempt to legitimize a theft.
The U.S. Department of Justice itself declared the Newlands Resolution as less than legitimate during the Reagan administration in 1988, when they stated, “It is therefore unclear which constitutional power congress exercised when it acquired Hawai`i by joint resolution. Accordingly, it is doubtful that the acquisition of Hawai`i can serve as an appropriate assertion of authority.”
Likewise the Koani Foundation opposes the Akaka bill or federal recognition in any form since Hawai`i has never been a part of the U.S. to begin with, nor have Hawaiians ever relinquished their rights according to both international and U.S. public law 103-150, otherwise known as the Apology bill.
We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters here today, as well as those across Hawai`i and the world who could not be here in person in opposing a ceded lands deal.
We call for the return of our stolen lands and a Free Hawai`i.
