WHAT SHOULD AMERICANS DO TO HELP HAWAI`I RECOVER ITS INDEPENDENCE ?

The US is unlawfully occupying Hawai`i - it should deoccupy it.

US Americans should start using critical thinking in resolving the Hawaiian issue.

One should become familiar with the laws of occupation to understand the issues.

Misrepresentation of facts has been perpetuated on Americans as well as what has and is being done in their name.

Amid the myths and hoax lie documented facts with US admittance of misprison.

Covert and overt activities to destabilize the Hawaiian Kingdom, invasion, and an illegal ta occured over 113 years ago, with the complicity of the USA, unbeknownst to most Americans.

This took shape in a fake revolution to validate the nefarious actions spurred by US government officials and their American counterparts residing within the Hawaiian Kingdom.

ALOHA MAI KAKOU!
WELCOME IF YOU'RE VISITING FREEHAWAII.INFO FOR THE FIRST TIME!

Free Hawai`i means returning the Hawaiian Islands back to an independent nation status, as it was before it was illegally overthrown by US marines and rich sugar barons in 1893.

DID YOU KNOW -

98% of all Hawaiians living at the time opposed the illegal overthrow!

Today, less than 20% of all land in Hawai`i is in Hawaiian hands. Over 60% today is in non-Hawaiian hands!

A few individuals, who are non-Hawaiian, lease an amount of land in Hawai`i that is greater than all land leased to all Native Hawaiians!

Currently, only 72 landowners control 95% of all land in Hawai`i.

Native Hawaiians make up the largest percentage of homeless in Hawai`i today.

Native Hawaiians have the worst social, educational and economic indicators compared to any ethnic group in the US.

Native Hawaiians currently have the worst health profile compared to any ethnic group in the US.

Descendants of the Hawaiian Nation want their country and land back so they can grow their own foods, become healthy once again, and control their own destiny.

HAWAIIAN PATRIOTS & CHARACTER ASSASSINATION ON VOICES OF TRUTH - ONE-ON-ONE WITH HAWAI`I'S FUTURE

For a third week, we’ve been both amazed and gratified at the volume and intensity of positive response and support for the first two new shows of our third season detailing how the Akaka bill went down to defeat in June.

Mahalo to each and everyone one of you for your mana`o (thoughts.)

And what has the Office Of Hawaiian Affairs been doing all this time?

Damage control, their ridiculous “Plan B,” and now a new campaign of character assassination.

It is contemptible that OHA trustees would attempt to link with the radical right the very Hawaiian patriots who, at their own time and expense, went to Capitol Hill to ensure the Akaka bill's defeat.

To claim they are synonymous with US conservative republicans is both factually wrong and morally outrageous.

It once again demonstrates OHA will stop at nothing to spread its campaign of disinformation.

This week we bring you another new segment with Leon Siu.

One of those patriots who traveled to Washington, DC, he reveals the great interest Capitol Hill legislators had when told of just how opposed people back home were to the Akaka bill.

He also describes the shock and dismay US lawmakers displayed when told that Hawaiians had not been consulted at all on the bill, nor had any hearings been held in Hawai`i.

And maybe most importantly, Leon discusses head-on the slander now being directed at him and others for doing what they knew they had to do – help save the Hawaiian Nation.

Once again, we strive to bring you all the details, so you can decide for yourself, here on Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

MONDAY, August 28th At 7:00 PM & FRIDAY, September 1st At 5:30 PM
Hawai`i Island – Na Leo, Channel 54
WEDNESDAY, August 30th At 6:30 PM & THURSDAY, August 31st At 6:45 AM Maui – Akaku, Channel 53
THURSDAY, August 31st at 8:30 PM & FRIDAY, September 1st At 8:30 AM
Kaua`i – Ho`ike, Channel 52

SATURDAY, September 2nd At 8:00 PM
O`ahu - `Olelo, Channel 53
"Hawaiian Patriots In Action – A Visit With Leon Siu”

How was the message from Hawai`i’s people regarding the Akaka bill received on Capitol Hill?

Leon Siu, one of a team that went, delivers an answer that may surprise you.

Pointing out the ridiculousness of OHA’s divisive racial arguments in trying to get the bill passed, Leon reveals his team’s message to the Hill was far different - one of Kingdom Nationals being disenfranchised.

Leon also reports that senators were very receptive when reminded that Hawaiians have always been inclusive, not exclusive.

Countering criticism they cooperated with conservatives, Leon explains why those may be the very ones who will be the first to recognize a Free Hawai`i.

Find out what Leon sees as the answer to what life looks like after the Akaka bill and why he believes “aloha” is one of the most powerful words in any language in all the world.

STATEHOOD CELEBRATION DESIGNED TO INSULT HAWAIIANS

Here's What One Observer Says About What He Saw -

As an observer at Friday's statehood debacle held at Iolani Palace
, I would like to clarify several points.

There would have been no uproar if the contentious circus was held at an appropriate place, like the state Capitol, just next door.

Holding a celebration for the country that overthrew a sovereign nation on its governmental grounds showed as much common sense as a kamikaze reunion at Pearl Harbor.

If the event was sincerely about statehood, they would have had at least one state flag.

Instead, only U.S. flags flew complete with Statue of Liberty clown in an act of nationalist warfare.

The worst part was the irresponsible using of the Kalani High band for state Sen. Sam Slom's politicking.

Only five celebrators greeted the band, not dozens as indicated by the media.

To say the students were "threatened" is slander; on the contrary, palace defenders addressed the students elucidating the overthrow history, and no disrespect was directed to them.

Patience was lost when [statehood] celebrants spewed claims of entitlement, labeling [Independence supporters] dissenters "Muslims."

The organizers owe apologies to Kalani and the people of Hawai`i for such arrogance and disrespect.

U.S. NEEDS TO DEOCCUPY HAWAI`I NOW

The hoax and myth promulgated by the US for over 113 years has been now fully exposed by the mainstream media through the publication of Stephen Kinzer's book, "Overthrow - America's Century Of Regime Change From Hawai`i To Iraq."

Covert and overt actions by the U.S. in Hawai`i have also been uncovered and deemed to be in violation of both U.S. domestic and international laws.

Even the silly Akaka bill, the legislation that would have turned ethnic Hawaiians into "indians," was seen for what it was - more charade and land grabs, and was soundly defeated.

Isn't it time to end the charade and realize the facts ?

The Occupation Of Hawai`i Is A Social Wrong That Should Not Be Managed - It Should Be Ended.

DID YOU KNOW THE EFFECTS OF OVER A CENTURY OF U.S. OCCUPATION ON NATIVE HAWAIIANS ?

The Hawaiian people have suffered since the first Western contact in 1778.

Western diseases, to which Hawaiians had no immunity, decimated their numbers.

At the time of western contact, some 800,000 people inhabited the Hawaiian Islands.

By 1805 that number had been halved.

By 1853 there were only 71,000 Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian people in the islands.

Within 100 years of western contact, the Hawaiian population had been reduced by nearly 90 percent.

According to the 2000 census, the numbers of people who claim some native Hawaiian ancestry have increased to over 400,000.

But only 239,000 live in Hawaii and they are the poorest, most locked-up population in the state.

Although they only make up about 20 percent of the state's population, in June 2001 they made up 39 percent of the state's prison population, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

And they make up 37 percent of the state's homeless population, according to a 2003 survey.

Independence Is The Only Right To Correct The Wrong!

It’s a season packed with all the best of a Free Hawai`i right here on Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

“Saving The Nation – A Visit With Leon Siu & Clarence Ku Ching”

Many of you have asked what went on behind the scenes in Washington, DC that led to the defeat of the Akaka bill.

Leon Siu and Clarence Ku Ching were part of a team that went to Capitol Hill to deliver the message that Hawai`i’s people were against the bill.

During three critical days in our history, tirelessly going from office to office in the US Senate, they spoke to any who would listen.

As we now know, plenty did.

Better than any thriller, don’t miss this behind the scenes blow by blow account as Leon and Ku reveal for the first time exactly what they did and said in those three days that saved the Hawaiian nation.

SATURDAY, August 26th At 8:00 PM O`ahu - `Olelo, Channel 53
“Hawaiian Patriots In Action – A Visit With Clarence Ku Ching”

As one of the people who went to Capitol Hill to help defeat the Akaka bill, Ku Ching gives us his first hand experience of what it’s like to be in the power center of the US.

As a former OHA trustee himself, Ku had plenty of credibility when meeting with senate power brokers to share his views on why the Akaka bill should be defeated – and they listened.

Ku also gives us his in depth analysis of OHA’s “Plan B” and we’ll tell you right now it isn’t pretty.

Don’t miss this one as Ku tells us what the future holds for Hawai`i after the Akaka bill as well as why OHA is so busy publicly attempting to smear his name.

SHOWDOWN AGAINST STATEHOOD AT `IOLANI PALACE

HONOLULU - A day of celebration turned into one of confrontation.

As dozens tried to honor Hawai`i's statehood, many more showed up to put an end to the party.

The protesters were Native Hawaiian groups, fighting against what they say was the illegal overthrow of the monarchy.

The statehood celebration was on the grounds of `Iolani Palace.

"We found that it was extremely disrespectful, and ignorant and arrogant all at the same time," said Kealii Collier, one of the protestors.

Native Hawaiians felt it was disrespectful because the palace served as home to the Hawaiian monarchy, and prison to Queen Liliuokalani.

"The people who imprisoned her were the Americans of that time," said Collier. "And Americans of this time are continuing the same imprisonment."

There were numerous confrontations between both groups. But no one was hurt or arrested.

IS HAWAI`I REALLY THE FIFTIETH STATE?

DID THE ANNEXATION OF HAWAI`I BY THE US REALLY OCCUR ?

Here's What One Hawaiian Patriot Said-

"Mai maka`u, e kupa`a ma ke aloha i ka `aina, a e lokahi ma ka mana`o.

E ku`e loa aku i ka ho`ohui ia o Hawai`i me Amerika a hiki ke aloha `aina hope loa."

"Do not be afraid, be steadfast in aloha for your land and be united in thought.

Protest forever the annexation of Hawai`i until the very last aloha `aina (patriot.")

DID YOU KNOW?...

Admissions Day, The Observance Of The Day Hawai`i Allegedly Became The Fiftieth State Is So Controversial, It Hasn't Been Observed In Hawai`i For The Last Six Years.

Here's What One Hawaiian Says About Admissions Day -

"Iolani Palace is for Hawaii Nationals; not US Americans. There is a reason why the 'State of Hawai`i' remains silent on the Statehood issue."

Statehood is illegal. Free Hawai`i now.

WHAT HAWAIIANS WANT -

HERE IS WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THEMSELVES, THEIR COUNTRYMEN AND THE UNITED STATES -

"The most common sense thing is for total independence.

We were a progressive modern nation of our time and recognized as a friendly, neutral nation within the Family of Nations, the predecessor of the League of Nations and the United Nations.

We had a democratic form of government, a constitutional monarchy with a bicameral legislative assembly.

The works and legacies of our monarchs are legendary and noteworthy.

Today under the American system, we are concerned about our lands, culture, people and lifestyle which has been under attack for over a hundred years.

This gets us angry and more Hawaiians are desiring total independence as a result.

The Kingdom of Hawai`i is not only Native Hawaiians but subjects of non-Hawaiian blood who were legitimate subjects of the Kingdom.

This racial argument is an American thing and not a Hawaiian thing.

So our concerns are well within our scope to protect all our subjects of the Kingdom.

We do expect reparations and restitution from the US for the injurious damages to our nation, land and people.

The US government is well aware of this and is trying to offer a piecemeal to settle this.

Other options are still on the table and we are beginning to take a stand on which option is the right thing to do.

If the tables were turned around, which would you do?

I'm sure it wouldn't be a hard decision.

Remember, Hawaiians never hated Americans; but only those that did harm to us and the US government for its complicity and deceit.

We were never afraid that another country would take us over; we had over twenty-four treaties with various countries but the US is the only country that broke their treaties with us."

That Should Tell You Something.

ON THE 108th ANNIVERSARY OF THE US IMPOSED ANNEXATION OF HAWAI`I

Is It Any Wonder That More & More People Want The Illegal Annexation To End?

Native Hawaiians constitute roughly 20 per cent of the state population, but they represent 54 per cent of the prison population.

Not coincidentally, they also have the lowest per capita income, the highest poverty rate and the shortest lifespan of any ethnic group in Hawai`i.

Hawai`i public school students receive very poor education by any standard of measurement. They consistently rank among the lowest of any state in test scores.

A decade after the state ended dental cover, toothless smiles are commonplace among the poor. Tens of thousands of residents have no medical insurance at all.

Despite higher profits for many businesses, jobs are scarce and most of the available work pays minimum wage or close to it.

On Kaua`i workers often share apartments or small houses with several other workers because rents are too expensive for one or two individuals to afford.

On every island married couples with children often work two jobs each to make ends meet - if they are fortunate enough to find that many jobs, even at minimum wage.

The prices of gasoline, mandatory auto insurance, used cars and repair work are considerably higher than in the US. Only the city of Honolulu has reliable public transportation.

On the other islands owning a car is a necessity to be able to work or look for jobs.

Hawai`i imports two-thirds of its food from the US mainland and locally-grown food is expensive due to high land prices.

In the past, Hawai`i was known for its aloha spirit and laid-back lifestyle.

Now aloha is difficult to find as various ethnic groups vie with each other for the last crumbs of the once-large economic pie.

As one long-time resident commented - "Hawai`i is turning into one of those Caribbean tourist islands where you have fancy hotels and a tiny rich neighborhood and the rest of the island is a shantytown of poverty and crime."

WHAT DID THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES SAY AT THE TIME OF THE ILLEGAL OVERTHROW OF THE HAWAIIAN NATION ?

"Whereas my good and great sister and fellow sovereign, her gracious majesty, Lili`uokalani, Queen of Hawai`i, has been wickedly and unlawfully dethroned by the machinations of Americans and person of American descent in those islands, being instigated thereto by the devil, one John L. Stevens,

And whereas my well-conceived plans for the restoration of her sacred majesty have not had the result they deserved but her majesty is still defrauded of her legal rights by her refractory and rebellious subjects, and her position is a just cause of sympathy and alarm,

Now therefore, I, Grover Cleveland, President of the United States, do hereby ordain and appoint the last day of April next as a day of solemn fasting, humiliation and prayer. Let my people humble themselves and repent for their injustice to me and my great and good sister, and pray, without distinction of color, for her speedy return to the throne and the discomfiture of the miserable herd of missionaries and their sons, her enemies and traducers.

Long live Lili`uokalani, the de jure Queen of Hawai`i."

- President Grover Cleveland, February 25, 1894

WILL HAWAIIANS RIGHT WRONG THROUGH VOTE ON INDEPENDENCE ?

The U.S. Justice Department knows that in 1898 the Congress of the United States made a grave mistake by attempting to annex Hawai`i by joint resolution 51.

They violated their own constitution and laws.

Hawaiians were not allowed to vote for or against annexation.

The U.S. Senate tried two times to pass a treaty of annexation of Hawai`i.

Twice it failed.

If they had allowed the majority of the citizens of the Kingdom of Hawai`i in 1898 to vote, it would have been an overwhelming "no."

The only way the U.S. government can right the wrong it inflicted on Hawaiians is to let those descendants of the citizens of the Hawaiian Kingdom decide if they want independent status or be part of the American system.

If Hawaiian Kingdom national descendants are not allowed to vote for the form of governance they prefer then the whole American democratic process is good for nothing.

HERE'S THE FUTURE -

Imagine This For A Minute...

Everyone seeking independence, everyone setting themselves free from slavery from this corrupted system that runs our lives here in Hawai`i.

There would be no state or county.

That means there would be an independent state or nation again.

We the people would be able to control our own destiny!

Land wouldn't be sold to bigwigs. House prices would come down so our people would actually be able to live here.

How can we sell ourselves out again by accepting federal recognition and go along with nation-within-a-nation?

This would be no good for us or our children.

There is a way to freedom... it's called Free Hawai`i.

“Guardians Of The Light – A Visit With Peter Jensen”

In this, already one of our most popular segments, Peter recounts how he, as a Hawaiian, witnessed the wholesale destruction of Makua Valley by the US military and the deep spiritual impact it had on him.

Further, he reveals that he and his family would have had land taken away had mandatory leasehold conversion succeeded in Honolulu earlier this year.

As he did some soul-searching to discover what his role would be to help stop the desecration and theft, he found himself transforming from potential victim to telling the stories to others as an award winning producer for `Olelo television on `Oahu.

Don't miss this powerful and moving segment as Peter recounts the effect it had on him of witnessing the destruction of his family's `aumakua [ancestral guardians] by the Makua Valley fires.

We promise a powerful and lasting impact on all who watch.

WEDNESDAY, August 9th At 6:30 PM & THURSDAY, August 10th At 6:45 AM
Maui – Akaku, Channel 53

SATURDAY, August 12th At 8:00 PMO`ahu - `Olelo, Channel 53
“Faces Of The Nation – Voices Of Truth Live At `Iolani Palace – Part Two”

We continue our fascinating interviews at `Iolani Palace grounds last January when Native Hawaiians and their supporters gathered to spend the weekend showing everyone the Hawaiian Nation is still alive.

As in part one, we continued to discover specialists in every field of endeavor - people who will ably fill the needs of the Nation, who know our history and understand a Free Hawai`i benefits everyone.

In this segment we meet Native Hawaiian attorney Dexter Kaiama.

As a relative newcomer to the movement, Dex talks of his background, his involvement with Hui Pu, and exactly what made him become involved in helping to create a better future for all of Hawai`i’s people.

With the Akaka bill defeated, if you’re wondering, “What now?” this is one to watch. Dexter is filled with passion and ideas about the Hawai`i of tomorrow as anyone you’ll want to meet. Full of inspiration and possibility, he reminds us of the potential in us all.

THURSDAY, August 10th At 8:30 PM & FRIDAY, August 11th At 8:30 AM
Kaua`i – Ho`ike, Channel 52

“Build A Canoe? It Takes A Community – A Visit With Leon Siu”

Leon, of the musical duo of Leon & Malia, shares with us his insights on how paddling in the same direction can lead to community building.

A remarkable Kanaka, with fascinating insights, he’s also a lecturer, public policy and political consultant, composer, visual artist, writer and media producer.

In this segment, Leon talks about those elements that actually move a community forward as one in the same direction.

If you've felt like you've been paddling in different directions, be sure to gather your `ohana and catch this one to learn the steps of working together and what a difference it can make.

OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS MUST REPRESENT HAWAIIAN NATIONALS

Current Trustees & Staff Should Be Ousted

Honolulu Advertiser - August 3, 2006

America, through U.S. Public Law 103-150, has confessed that "the indigenous Hawaiian people never directly relinquished their claims to their inherent sovereignty as a people or over their national lands to the United States."

Yet, on July 31, 2006, that very same people, descendants of nationals of the Hawaiian Kingdom, get arrested and cited for re-claiming what is lawfully theirs?

OHA Administrator Clyde Namu`o, by stating, "It's too bad that people are trespassing," clearly reveals that he lacks the legal knowledge to recognize the rights of our people and is unworthy of allegedly representing our interest.

He and all of those who share his views in OHA should be ousted from the very seats they hold and filled with those who have the heart and courage to truly represent our people.

It's fortunate for both sides that the demonstrations for Hawaiian rights have been, for most part, peaceful.
